Seeking Projects for Interns

Attention Innovators: We are currently seeking potential projects for interns!

Each year, Innovations in Healthcare recruits and hires Duke MBA and Masters in Public Policy students and matches them with organizations in the Innovations in Healthcare network for a summer project. The interns work for 10 weeks, including 7 weeks on-site with the host organization. This is an opportunity to get a smart graduate student to help address a business or operational challenge your organization is facing.

Funding from the Duke SEAD program, provided by USAID, will cover intern travel and living expenses and provide a small living stipend. Your team would work with us to scope the project, manage the intern on the ground, and provide them with workspace in your office. If you are an Innovations in Healthcare innovator interested in hosting an intern at your organization this summer, please respond to Erin Escobar (erin.escobar@duke.edu) by Monday, February 8 with a project idea (or ideas) with the following information:

  •  Project(s) description
  • Desired skillset
  • Any language skills needed, beyond English
  • Anticipated deliverable

Our internship selection process is highly competitive and we choose students with relevant expertise and a passion for entrepreneurship and global health. We expect to place five interns this summer.  Please contact Erin for more information!
