The World Health Organization has defined home-based care as "any form of assistance provided to a sick person referred to as the patient directly in the home by family, friends and members of the local community, cooperating with the advice and support from the trained health workers." This panel focused on how healthcare providers are navigating in this new paradigm, exploring if and how this has become not only an adjustment to the way that care is delivered, but a fundamental shift in the way healthcare is accessed.
