The list of Highly Cited Researchers for 2019 includes 54 of Duke’s most prominent and influential researchers. That number puts Duke into the world’s top 10 universities for highly cited scientists. As members of Duke’s Global Health Innovation Center and Innovations in Healthcare, which is hosted by Duke, we are proud of our associates’ success.
This annual metric has been compiled for decades by ISI-Web of Science, which also tracks the impact factor of multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed journals. The data on scientists are taken from 21 research fields. Rankings are determined by citations and intended to recognize “researchers with broad community influence.”
